Roman Matous is a jewelry designer passionate about timeless art. The journey began in 1981 at art school, leading to the founding of a family workshop in 2000, inspired by Czech costume jewelry traditions. Under the brand LILIEN, luxurious necklaces and accessories are created with the goal of crafting meaningful treasures that connect beauty and emotion. Jewelry is regarded as more than decoration — it celebrates tradition, craftsmanship, and feelings. Each stone is carefully chosen, and every detail is crafted with care. Despite visual and hearing impairments, the passion for design has been pursued with determination and joy. In addition to designing, Roman competes in table tennis for deaf athletes and bowling for the visually impaired, activities that bring balance and energy. In 2012, collaboration with designers Meadham & Kirchhoff for London Fashion Week took place. A floral headpiece created was worn by Katy Perry at the Grammy Awards, gaining global recognition. Since then, the work has appeared in Elle, Brides, and Vogue. Today, under LUXURY CZECH JEWELRY, seasonal decorations, crowns, mandalas, and art pieces are created and sold worldwide in galleries and luxury boutiques.
