Lines Lab

City Furniture Designers (CFD) is a Macau based company, headed by designers Manuel CS and Clara Brito .

 CFD’s main purpose is to bring about a “designed in Macau” concept through comprehensive creation in diverse areas of design.

 CFD has developed a range of works in areas such as; Design Consultancy, Urban Design and Multimedia, Product Design, Interior and Fashion Design.

 Since the beginning of operation, CFD has already carried out several projects, namely:

Telephone booth for CTM –Telecom;
Multimedia Kiosk for the Macau Dome and the Macau International Airport;
Uniforms for the Macau Museum of Communications;
Outdoors seating benches for the new Tap Seac Square (under the supervision of architect Carlos Marreiros);
Exhibition curatorship and catalogue design for ‘in Dep&ecirc;ncias’ Angolan Contemporary Art, with the special participation of artist Ant&oacute;nio Ole.

 More recently, CFD has created the LINES LAB brand and outlet, a working laboratory aiming at the promotion of design products and cultural services which materialize and reinforce the “designed in Macau” slogan.

 With the Lines Lab brand, CFD has been increasing its presence, by selection and invitation, in a host of events, including exhibitions and specialized fairs (both local and international).

 The course of CFD and Lines Lab has been widening in scope in a clear and sure global route that includes inscribing the quality of Macau’s design and creativity on the map.

 Lines Lab is a contemporary brand totally committed to the equation that defines urban creation nowadays: objects/products + people and events.

 Lines Lab has a full portfolio of products designed, produced and commercialized by itself and by several retail spaces, both in Macau and worldwide.

 Lines Lab has also been invited for different events and design exhibitions of local and international renown.

 Lines Lab latest accomplishments include the selection for 100% DesignTokyo 2006, one of the most important and selective international design fairs, and the invitation for the Hong Kong Innovation & Design Expo (IDExpo) & Hong Kong Fashion Design Fair.

 Lines Lab is a new way of thinking and promoting Macau’s creative energy at global level.
