Yantai Spandex Co., Ltd is high & new tech stock company specializing in the production of special chemical fiber, and the chief member of the Special Fiber Committee China. Yantai Spandex is the biggest domestic meta-aramid spandex producer and one of the biggest spandex producer.

Yantai Spandex was established in 1987,as the first spandex fiber manufacturer in China. The full set of spandex manufacturing technology and equipment for the first phase project started operation in October 1989. The New Star® spandex yarn includes the full ranges from 15D to 2000D, being applied widely in knitting, weaving etc as an ideal material for elastic clothes.

Yantai Spandex is listed as the key high & new tech enterprise in the National Torch Plan, and among the 520 key enterprises in China. Benefited from the talents resources and technical advantages, Yantai Spandex explores further in the field of high tech special chemical fiber, and develop the new generation of high temperature insulated material – New Star® meta-aramid fiber.
