Laissing & Co., a Hong Kong based company, was established in August 1995 by me, Anita Wong. It has been servicing clients for almost 18 years.

Prior to that I was an Administrative Manager in an English managed garment company here in Hong Kong. Due to Hong Kong's handover to China, the company closed.

At this time a client of the English company asked me to follow up on a down jacket order for Burberry's. This entailed my first business trip to HangZhou in China where I worked with the factory to ensure the manufacturing process was carried out according to specifications and to a high standard. The order was successfully completed and shipped on time.

I continued to work for this client in following up orders for Disney Stores in the UK. The orders were for baby and children's items such as baby layettes, hats, scarves, gloves, bibs and towels.

I created along with a business associate a hat and scarf hanger named “LH1”. This qualified Laissing & Co. to become one of the Disney Vendors.  At the same time, I was introduced to a wine packaging company. They wanted me to source silk cardboard inserts and bottle carrying bags in China. This was the start of the packaging side of my business. The products I had made for this company include wooden boxes, bamboo boxes, wicker/rattan baskets, paper and faux leather boxes, cooler bags, aluminium drinking bottles, etc.

I have vast experience working for large multinational organisations in the sourcing, sampling, production, follow up, shipping and payment of a wide range of goods.

I insist on high standards of manufacture. Working for myself and liaising with factories that I know directly, means that I can always guarantee a good price and exact standards. My honesty, loyalty, sense of responsibility and good judgment, along with my long association with a large number of factories in China and of course my linguistic skills, make me the perfect person for this role.
