Azienda Agraria Duca Carlo Guarini SS Agricola

 Vineyards have been part of our family for more than 900 years: in fact, the Norman knight Ruggero Guarini arrived in Terra d'Otranto, now known as Salento in 1065. We still own and cultivate, in the areas of Brindisi and Lecce, almost 700 hectars of land. Wines, extra virgin olive oils, vegetable pates all derive from a professionalism, that make us control all the productive steps: from the fields to the table. The wine cellar dating back to the end of the XVIII century and the “ frantoio ipogeo” are both located in the property of the family in Scorrano (Apulia, Italy).
The 70 hectars of vineyards are located in the estate of P&igrave;utri, between Brindisi and Lecce in the town of Torchiarolo and the vines are mostly indigenous varieties: Negroamaro, Primitivo, Malvasia nera, Bombino. The sandy and limestone soil and the microclimate of the nearby Adriatic Sea make this area one of the most suitable for viticulture.
