Barolo Docg Riserva S. Bernardo is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes and aged for 2 years in big barrels of Slavonia oak and one year in barrique French oak. It has a ruby-red color with purple and orange reflections. The wine has a light odor of wood, black raspberries and cherries with a background of vanilla, ethereal but with good structure. The taste is full-bodied, austere and concentrated with a good balance of acidity and tannin. It is ideal for pairing with braised and roasted meats, wild game, seasoned and strong cheeses. The best serving temperature is 22 degrees Celsius, possibly opened four hours in advance or decanted.
