Tasting notes: Vanilla, coconut, plums and raspberries on the nose,followed by layers of ripe complex fruit and oak flavours on the palate. A bold Pinotage character, well balanced with firm tannins.
Vineyard practices: Grapes were selected from vineyards located on the Bottelary hills, planted in ideal terroir, cool climate and close proximity to the sea.
Cellar practices: Grapes were harvested at full ripeness at 26 Balling. Fermentation took place for 4 days partially in wood and stainless steel tanks at 26-28 C, Malolactic fermentation was completed in steel tanks after which the wine was matured for 10 months in a combination of third fill French and American oak barrels.
Food pairing: The winemaker recommends serving it with springbok fillet, barbecued ostrich steaks and all grilled red meat

Ageing potential: ready to be enjoyed and can mature for at least another 5 years.
