This red wine is an oak-aged blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault from mature vines planted around 50 years ago in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. This rich, spicy red, blended to reflect the strength of each individual vintage. It is produced as naturally as possible with minimal vineyard and winery inputs, ambient yeasts and no fining or filtration. Aged in French oak barrels from the forest of Nevers for a full 12 months, it also undergoes 3 to 4 years maturation in bottle before release. Full bodied and concentrated, this complex styled wine serves well with roasted red meats, especially lambs, grills, games and mature cheeses.
