Distinctive and luscious black and blue fruits greet you. Medium-full body. This wine is jammy with medium, well-integrated tannins and a lingering finish.

Service: Decant 60-90 minutes. Serve at 16°C - 19°C.
Vinification
Hand-cut clusters into 16kg baskets, then manual selection of individual berries. Manual crushing. Fermentation at 24°C for 12-15 days. 2-3 months in stainless steel. 6-12 months in new oak barrels. Limited production on select years. Estate bottled.
Climate and Soil
Typically 8-22°C. Lows 4-5°C; highs 26-27°C. Humidity 60-85%. 11-13.5 hrs sun per day. 850mm rain per year. Harvest in July. Sandy soil; fine and coarse sand. Good drainage. High in mineral content, especially iron; soil has a dull red appearance. Weakly alkaline. Natural fertiliser added during winter.
