This Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG is vinified under controlled temperature fermentation followed by maceration on the skins for 8-10 days. The top-quality Prugnolo Gentile and Canaiolo grapes are carefully selected and processed. This bottled red wine pairs well with seasoned cheeses, meats and so on.
- Grape varietal: Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo.
- Maturation period: 24 months in large, Slavonic oak barrels, with a small percentage refined in French oak barriques. This is followed by 6 months refinement in the bottle.
- Color: deep ruby red with light violet tones.
- Bouquet: varietal perfume of cherry and other red berry fruits with notes of toasted spice of a refined delicacy.
- Flavor: full and lively, excellent tannic notes and a long fruity finish with a light and lingering toastiness.
- Ideal serving temperature: 16-18 degrees Celsius.
