The Alpha Crucis Titan Shiraz 2010 is selected from 4 premium vineyards within McLaren Vale. It is sourced from mature vines between 20-40 years of age. The parcels for this wine were fermented separately in open fermenters before being gently pressed and matured in a combination of large and small French Oak barrels. The wine spends up to 20 months in oak before being carefully blended together. The blending of the components creates a wine, which is stronger and more complex than the individual components. This wine is deep purple with red hues. Its aroma is lifted dark berry fruits with hints of bitter dark chocolate, fresh violets and roasted nuts. The dark berry fruit coats the front of the palate with a textured mid palate with layers of fruits and spices. The wine has a long finish with dark-chocolate and coffee-bean notes lingering.
