Changchun is the capital of Jilin Province and one of the 15 vice provincial cities approved by the state council. The total area of Changchun is 20,604 square kilometers, the population is 7.67 million. Changchun is well-known as “Auto City”,“Film City”, “Scientific and Cultural City”, “Forest City”, “Sculpture City”, “Green Food City” and “National Civilized City”. Changchun City is situated at the heart of Songliao Plains in northeast China; Located in the center of Northeast Asia which is composed of Northeast China, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, the Far East of Russia, and Changchun is the traffic and communication hub and the logistics center of Northeast Asia. There are 18 highways and railways radiated in all directions from Changchun. Changchun also has launched 44 domestic and international routes. Changchun has a solid industrial foundation. The output of whole vehicles has surpassed 2 million. The production of railway vehicles of Changchun is 60% of national output. Changchun is a developed area of agricultural economy. It is an important commodity grain production base, and total output and per capita consumption of grain, meat, poultry and eggs has occupied the leading place in large and middle cities throughout the country. Changchun has powerful education of science strength, with 38 national level key labs, 103 scientific research and R&D institutions and 27 regular institutions of full-time tertiary education. Changchun has great tourism resources, such as the largest “Jingyue Forest Park” in Asia; Changchun is the cradle of new Chinese movie, with the first movie theme park---“Changying Wonderland”; the largest open-air sculpture park with 1100 sculptures from 172 countries and regions worldwide. With higher openness, Changchun has 4 state-level development zones and 23 provincial industrial concentrated zones. Xinglong Free Trade Zone is the 19th national level free trade zone, which is Changchun and Jilin Province’s channel to the rest of the world.
