ORIGIN – TERROIR

Château Saint Brice is located a few kilometres from the famous town of Saint-Emilion. This family property has existed since 1932. The 13 hectares of vines are pampered, observed and cultivated with all the French know-how of the Myshkin family. The 35 year old vineyard is planted in gravelly soil, typical of the region, which offers all the splendour of this fine wine. It is subject to a reasoned protection notably thanks to practices such as the ploughing of the rows of vines, grassing, disbudding or leaf removal. Château Saint Brice gets part of its secret from green harvesting.

VINIFICATION

Harvesting at optimum maturity with an optical sorting table.

Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 to 6 days for optimal extraction.

Automatic pumping over and micro-oxygenation.

Hot maceration for 3 to 4 weeks depending on tasting.

Aged for 12 months - 50% in new French oak barrels and 50% in barrels.

TASTING NOTES

With a beautiful purple and ruby colour, Château Saint Brice offers a nose with notes of blackcurrant, red fruit and a hint of vanilla and spices. The mouth is round, supple and elegant on the attack. It gradually evolves towards an assertive character and pronounced and powerful tannins. On the finish, you discover a wine with subtle roasted notes.

FOOD & WINE PAIRING

Château Saint Brice is the perfect accompaniment to noble dishes such as foie gras or duck. It will also go perfectly with cheeses of character.

Serve between 17° and 18°C.
