Tasting notes: A bold spicy red wine with rich blackberry fruit and distinctive hints of black pepper, dark chocolate and tobacoo. The palate is juicy with pleasant smooth tannins and a lingering aftertaste.
Vineyard practices: Grapes were selected from Stellenbosch vineyards planted in ideal terroir, cool climate, high altitude and close proximity to the sea.
Cellar practices: Fermentation took place partially in wood and stainless steel tanks. This wine was matured for twelve months in a combination of third fill french and American oak barrels.
Cultivar: 100% Shiraz
Food Pairing: The winemaker suggests enjoying it with Meduterranean dishes such as pork tenderloin, spicy lamb and meat casseroles
Drinking temp: room temperature
Ageing potential: Optimum drinking time: up to 4 years after release
