Origin & Terroir

On the left bank of the Dordogne in Saint-Avit-Saint-Nazaire, this 45-hectare vineyard lies on former riverbed gravel soils with a unique microclimate. Originally a fruit orchard, the estate was replanted with vines in the 1960s. Named after the "gabare" boats that once transported wine to Bordeaux.

Tasting Notes

Dark red with garnet hues. Aromas of ripe red fruit, vanilla, and spice. Rich and fresh on the palate with warm tannins and balanced charm.

Pairs beautifully with garlic butter snails, shepherd’s pie, enchiladas, cassoulet, or camembert. Serve at 18°C.
