This Contratto Millesimato Brut 2007 is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. The entry-level Brut is the Millesimato. The wine is named after the fact that it also carries a vintage, although being the most basic one of the range. The harvest is done at the end of August, depending on the year. The wine also spends a further four years in the bottle in contact with his “fine lies”. The aromas of pears, nuts, spices, liquorice and white flowers and almonds which leads to a complex and powerful mouth feel, are all complemented by a fresh, elegant finish.
