Winemaker Gary Wooton’s emphasis on balance and elegance is showcased in this lovely, Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. Its Bordeaux heritage is evident in the finesse and finish. While imminently drinkable now, it has the structure to be aged for as long as you can stand to wait.
The Croze Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford displays classic Rutherford notes with a dusty elegance and complexity. This wine is rich with a balance of red and dark fruit character along with all the earth aroma’s that make Rutherford such a special place for cabernet. The aromas are reminiscent of an early morning stroll through a briary blackberry patch. On the finish there are spice notes of licorice and anise with a subtle cigar box charm. With firm but subtle tannins, this is approachable now, but will age gracefully for many years.
