Duplicate/wipe function.
Duplicate: disk to disk: smart copy: copy only used space by analyzing data of master disk to shorten copy time, sector copy: copy whole disk including empty space of master disk. Generally, it is used in case that smart copy is not available because of unusual file system etc.
Duplicate: image to disk: image copy: Backup/manage an original hard disk into machine as a disk image file format. Also, the backed up image files can be copied to target hard disks.
DiskClon is compatible with Samsung recovery solution and WinClon, our self-developed image backup solutions, due to usage of same imaging engine. Also, they can share image file over network or through USB connection. Furthermore, DiskClon saves original disks as image files so that user can prevent original disks from damage, save stock space of disks and use one target port more instead of master port.
Wipe: DiskClon supports wipe function that delete data of disk not to be recovered. It is eraser type and support 5 methods including DoD standard
Verify whole duplicated result: DiskClon verifies the whole duplicated data from first to the last sector, also fixes data automatically during the verification. On the other hand, other duplicators just verify some sample sectors.
Remove slow disk: DiskClon can automatically drop slow target HDDs to sustain its duplication speed without restart of the entire job
Partition resizing: if the storage size of master and target is different, the machine can resize partition of target disks to save production time.
Bad sector skip: DiskClon tries to read the sectors continuously. If the machine cannot retrieve the data, skip the region and continue the duplication normally.
On the other hand, in case of other duplicators, if the machine cannot retrieve the data, it just stops the entire job, informing errors in master HDD.
Full system logging: all the activities of DiskClon™ fully logged so that countermeasures can be quickly prepared to the users.
Network chain: DiskClon units can work as if single consolidated unit by sharing duplication master over network.
