Founded in 1959, Beitun originated as the northernmost land reclamation base of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps under the leadership of General Zhang Zhonghan. Blessed with the pure Irtysh River water, known as “Silver Water”, and unique climatic advantages including sufficient sunshine and large day-night temperature differences, the region produces natural, pollution-free grain suitable for high-quality liquor brewing.
