The EVT installed in your unit (breathalyser, pollution detector, etc.) checks the health of the sensor. It can confirm either that the sensor is good, or flag up a fault such as:
i. broken connection
ii. short circuit
iii. sensor damaged owing to exposure to extremes of heat or humidity.
The EVT is particularly useful in instances where the default result is zero: for example CO detectors and interlock breathalysers.
It is available free of charge to customers of our sensors to install in their devices.
It requires simple additions to the electronics and software of the device.
It is subject to a current patent application.
