This tea uses spring raw materials picked from ancient native large-leaf tea trees in the five Banzhang villages of Bulang Mountain, Xishuangbanna. It is elaborately pile-fermented following the ancient five-element fermentation craft based on metal, wood, water, fire and earth. The distinctive wild powerful charm of raw Banzhang tea is transformed into the mellow, glutinous and gentle texture unique to ripe Pu'er.

Different from thin, cloyingly sweet ordinary terrace ripe Pu'er, it retains the full-bodied, robust structure of authentic Banzhang tea while featuring the mild stomach-soothing property of ripe tea. It is a benchmark Banzhang ripe Pu'er favored among tea collectors, with great value for tasting, gifting and long-term storage.
