The XFT-2001 foot drop system is intended to provide ankle dorsiflexion in individuals with foot drop following an upper motor neuron injury or disease (such as a stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy or incomplete spinal cord injuries).
During the swing phase of gait, the XFT-2001™ electrically stimulates muscles in the affected leg to provide dorsiflexion of the foot; thus, it may improve the individual's gait.
Improve walking speed with less fatigue.
Reduce atrophy and foot drop; improve circulation and muscle condition.
Automatically set walking mode according to the results of gait analysis.
It may also facilitate muscle re-education, prevent/retard disuse atrophy, maintain or increase joint range of motion and increase local blood flow.
