Goji berry extract is an active ingredient extracted from the mature fruits of Lycium chilenense Mill. or Lycium barbarum L. (both belonging to the Solanaceae family). It contains goji berry polysaccharides, carotenoids, fats, proteins, free amino acids, taurine, betaine, vitamins B1, B2, E, and C, and has various effects including regulating immunity, scavenging free radicals, lowering blood lipids, lowering blood sugar, inhibiting tumors, delaying aging, anti-stress, anti-fatty liver, effects on the hematopoietic system, estrogen-like effects, anti-mutation, and anti-fatigue.
