Grapes: 100% Lagrein (Trentino local grape variety).
Soil type: Alluvial landfill, highly fertile surface, well-drained under soil.
Vine training system: Trentino pergola.
Vinification: Grapes are selected and harvested by hand and undergo the red vinification process. The fermentation consists of 8-10 day maceration on the skins at controlled temperature (26-28 °C). Then the wine is aged partly in steel and partly in small wooden casks. Then, further ageing in the bottle for a couple of months.
Characteristics: Bright ruby red colour with purple lights. Intense, with wild fruits, violet and dark chocolate hints on the nose, with a lightly spicy note. Dry, good tannin and sapidity; this wine is soft and velvety with persistent aftertaste.
As accompaniment: Red meat, first courses with meat sauces, matured cheese and local salami.
