Tasting Note
Distinctive and unforgettable. A dynamic bouquet of florals, dark honey, cantaloupe. With a touch of oak, the palate is slightly creamy and elegant with hints of dry lemon peel. Moderate acidity.

Vinification
Vines are at least 25 years old. Manual harvest into 16kg baskets. Hand-selected clusters. Fermentation at 18-20°C in stainless steel tanks. 1+ year on French and American oak. Estate bottled.
Climate and Soil
Typically 8-22°C. Lows 4-5°C; highs 26-27°C. Humidity 60-85%. 11-13.5 hrs sun per day. 850mm rain per year. Harvest in July. Sandy soil; fine and coarse sand. Good drainage. High in mineral content, especially iron; soil has a dull red appearance. Weakly alkaline. Natural fertiliser added during winter.
