WINE: Cabernet Sauvignon 75% Cabernet Franc 25% proprietary blend,
aged minimum 12 months in French oak barriques and 6 months in bottle
COLOR: intense ruby red
NOSE: complex layers of ripe red berries, fresh Chinese red dates, spices, mint, freshly sliced champignon, hints of chocolate, elegant toasted oak
Palate: full, velvety, fresh with elegant recall of the red fruits of the nose, good structure and fine tannins, good length.
FOOF PAIRING: delicious to drink as aperitivo with nuts, combines well with grilled red meats, stews, games, barbecued baby pork ribs, grilled red bell peppers and aubergines marinated in oil and balsamic vinegar, seasoned cheeses. Try it with grilled marinated squids. Delicious companion to dessert like crème caramel with a touch of cinnamon or ginger, or a slice of creamy chocolate cake.
PRODUCER NOTES: Peàn in Italian means a song to the Sun god Apollo. The name is taken from the poetry of Gabriele d’ Annunzio where he sang his love for summer and for Tuscany, especially the areas along the Tyrrhenian coast where we are located.
