Pinot Grigio 2010
Doc Colli Orientali del Friuli
Line: Zuc di Volpe
Description:
Pinot Grigio is an important grape variety of Hungarian origins. The grapes when mature have an intense, auburn colour, and there is no skin maceration during the vinification. The wine is straw yellow in colour, with reflections which are reminiscent of the auburn, grape colour.
It is a fruity wine. With time, it takes on hints of fresh hay, walnut shells and toasted almonds. It is soft on the palate with a discrete acidity which is in synergy with the grand structure. As it matures it offers a more complex bouquet.
Serving suggestions:
it is a wine well suited to light appetizers and to egg based and seafood dishes.
