Vinification: Heavily sorted grapes are soft pressed and macerated on the skins with frequent pump-covers for 25 days to obtain the optimal extraction of polyphenols and polysaccharides. Aging takes place in 500 liter French oak tonneau for a period of 18 months, followed by 6 months of refining in in bottle.
Tasting Notes: The color is deep ruby red with garnet nuances. On the nose the wine offers hints of red fruit jam (cherry, black cherry), dried flowers, cardamom and sweet tobacco. Cn the palate it is rich and intensely structured with well-integrated tannins and Favors of licorice and marasca cherry that carry through a dry, complex finish.
