Rotspon is a red Bordeaux wine, that is being imported in the barrique (oak) barrel with a sailing ship into Germany on a 14 day voyage. Afterwards it is being stored in the wine cellars of the Hanseatic city of Hamburg for another 3 months before being bottled and then shipped into Hong Kong. The whole process significantly alters the taste from the average Bordeaux into a lighter bodied experience with a smoother finish.
