EL-971 electric strike is designed for use with cylindrical lock-sets for door lock release purpose. With the combination of an electric strike and a RFID/digital access control station, it converts a conventional cylindrical lock-set to an electronic access control locking system with high security and user convenience without the key, mostly suitable for home and office applications.
The EL-971 is a standard-type electric strike. Each unit has an MOV connected to the power input terminals to absorb electric spikes from the solenoid in the actions of striking and releasing to ensure that it does not disturb the associated electronic device in the system.
The EL-971 is an universal electric striking device suitable for most of the standard door cylindrical lock-sets and it is compatible with all types of electronic access control stations.
The EL-971A is a fail-safe electric strike. With the fail-safe electric strike installed, the door is normally in locking state with power on, and the door lock is released when power is cut off. It is suitable for the door (e.g. fire/emergency door, escape door) that is required to open in power failure.
The EL-971B is a fail-secure electric strike. With the fail-secure electric strike installed, the door is normally in locking state without power on, and the door lock is released when power is applied. It is suitable for the door (e.g. entrance door) that is required to close in power failure.
Operating voltage : EL-971A : 12V DC / EL-971B : 12V DC (AC operation workable).
Operating current : EL-971A : 200 MA (on locking state) / EL-971B : 450 MA (on striking, DC operation)
