French in origin, merlot is today one of the most typical Friuli wines, one that conquered new aficionados for its structure, aptness to ageing, elegant evolution, and personality.
When young it has an intense red color. With time it turns to ruby red, and its vinosity becomes a fragrant bouquet with delicate aromas of blackberry and raspberry.
Serving suggestions:
It goes well with red meats and noble poultry roasts.
