The variety Verdejo Marcorta was almost extinguished but, after years of research, Javier Sanz Viticultor has managed to bring it back to use in order to craft this unique wine. It is an extremely unusual clone of Verdejo which was no longer used due to the difficulty of its harvesting (which explains the name Mal-corta : Bad/difficult to cut).
We have recovered the variety driven by the peculiar intensity of its aromas and flavours. Clean and bright.
It shows a pale straw yellow color. Intense, clean and powerful aromas of blossom flowers, citrus and creamy stone fruit. Its flinty, mineral aromas provide an added complexity in the nose.
Tangy acidity, crisp and refreshing. Its citrus and fruit flavours linger in the palate, leaving a nice and fresh aftertaste.
