William Morris London is delighted to announce a new and very exciting exclusive collaboration with a world-renowned art organisation - with a name not totally dissimilar to our own...The William Morris Gallery, located in East London and former home to artist William Morris (1834-1896) who is best known as the founder member of the Arts and Crafts movement. As well as that, he was a designer, publisher, printer, poet, painter, and craftsman.
Now, for the first time, his gorgeous prints are being incorporated into a range of 12 optical designer frames, each in 3 colours, sold with beautiful, coordinating folding cases and lens cloths.
Strawberry Thief is delicately moulded into an inspired hexagon shape creates an elegant yet audacious quality. A mixture of rose golds, shiny dark gun and gold brushed matt metallic, makes way for a breath-taking frame. To finish, coloured acetate settles upon the upper rim, creating a modern look that accentuates the brow line. To complete such a frame, Strawberry thief sits along the temple tip, that was inspired by the thrushes that decimated the fruit of William Morris' garden at Kelmscott Manor.
