Roll-off unit cradle feeder
The cradle feeder enables tension-free feeding of flexible textiles. At the center of this material-feeding system is a cradle consisting of rollers and conveyor belts that advance the material onto the working area of the cutter. A dancer bar continually registers fluctuations in the web tension. If needed, the enclosed unwinder regulates the drive speed and guarantees an absolutely tension-free material feed. The web edge control regulates the precise alignment of the material edge. If the sensor detects an irregularity, the cradle feeder automatically adjusts the horizontal alignment of the cradle. Because the roll is not on a shaft, there are no special requirements for the roll core. Even rolls with a kinked, broken, or missing core can be easily fed. The fast rewind function ensures the material is rewound tightly after processing.
