Exposed Layers Studio helps brands take their first practical step into Digital Product Passports — starting with the product information they already have and extending it into a connected customer experience.
Our DPP+ pilot service is designed for brands that want to explore how Digital Product Passports could work for their products as EU requirements continue to develop.
We work primarily from the manufacturer / brand level through to the post-sale journey. Using information supplied by the brand, manufacturer and available partners, we can create a digital product passport containing relevant product details such as materials, manufacturing information, care guidance, product identity, edition details, images and brand storytelling.
The passport can be accessed through QR code or NFC and can extend beyond product information into customer-facing experiences such as:
DPP+ is currently offered as a pilot and innovation service rather than a full supply-chain traceability or regulatory-compliance platform. Detailed upstream information — such as raw-material origin, suppliers, processing facilities and logistics — depends on the data available from the brand and its supply-chain partners.
Our aim is to help brands gain practical experience with Digital Product Passports now, understand what data they already have, identify what may still be missing, and explore how future DPP requirements can also become a useful customer touchpoint rather than simply a compliance exercise.
Our own Exposed Layers – What Lies Beneath project acts as a working test case for this approach, combining product information, care, NFC access, edition identity and evolving post-purchase digital experiences.
Ideal for: fashion, retail, lifestyle and product brands wanting to begin experimenting with DPPs before committing to a large-scale implementation.
Available for: DPP pilots, passport design, QR/NFC integration, product-information structuring, owner gateways and post-purchase experience development.
