Green Lantern is the name of a number of fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, with the most recognizable Green Lanterns being Hal Jordan and John Stewart. The first Green Lantern character, Alan Scott, was created in 1940 during the initial popularity of superheroes. The Green Lantern logo can be used in fan emblems.
