Los Angeles Regional Export Council (LARExC) was formed by Mayor Villaraigosa in conjunction with the Brookings Institute to help local businesses navigate the public and private services needed to export their products and help the region support President Obama’s National Export Initiative. LARExC works towards coordinating existing professional export services and providers into a responsive regional export network; developing and maintaining critical export research, information and a regional export Web site; and supplementing existing programs with critical new support. LARExC is a collaboration of regional export service organizations, including seven key partners such as Los Angeles Mayor's Office and Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
