Description
Heger's 2013 Achkarren Schlossberg Spätburguder GG is a nice reductive-styled Pinot Noir from a very steep and warm vineyard with volcanic soils.
It shows chocolate, cacao, herbal and vegetal aromas, plus a hint of flint stones and speck intertwined with fresh cherry and some floral aromas on the nose.
Full-bodied, fresh and fruity, with a silky, elegant and well-balanced texture, this grand cru finishes with a clear, dry and refreshing flavor of dark berries and cherries.
The freshness is stimulating and lingering, but the wine could be deeper and more complex as a grand cru.
