VARIEDAD GRAN RESERVA BARREL SELECTION CARMENERE (100 %)
DO VALLE CENTRAL
VINEYARDS
Vineyards located in the southernmost part of the Maule Valley on thin, clayey soils. Warm, dry summers ensure perfect fruit ripeness.
Vineyard yield: 10 tons/ha.
Harvest date: Second week of March.
TECHNICAL NOTES
The grapes were hand-picked and carefully transferred to the winery in individual trays. Vinification takes place over 10 days at temperatures ranging from 27°C to 29°C, seeking expressions of fruity aromas and a balanced, smooth body. Ninety-two percent of this wine is kept in stainless steel tanks to maintain the fruity aromas characteristic of the variety, while the remaining 8% is aged in American oak. To maintain most of its natural characteristics, only gentle filtration is applied just before bottling.
TASTING NOTES
Cherry red in color, with an intense aroma reminiscent of dried plum, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, berries, toasted coconut, and hints of vanilla and chocolate. Soft, silky tannins, long-lasting, and highly characteristic. Suitable for immediate consumption or continued development over several years.
SERVE: Serve at 17°C. Recommended for pairing with lamb, pasta, seasoned white meats, and red meats.
