- From this widespread and popular historic AOC the Collemura wine is produced.
- The vineyard extends close to the ancient village of Acquaviva Picena, from whose walls (in Italian "mura") the wine derives its name.
- In the absence of wood, the structure of Montepulciano and the delicacy of Sangiovese give this wine completeness and balance.
- A wine with an intense colour and obvious ruby highlights.
- A nose with clear notes of cherry and red fruits.
- Well-structured, balanced palate.
- Grape varieties: Montepulciano and Sangiovese.
- Average age of vineyards: 20-25 years with southern-eastern exposure, 200-250m height.
- Soil: medium-textured.
- Vine training technique: double Guyot and cordon training.
- Harvesting: handpicking starting in the first ten days of October.
- Vinification: red vinification with skin maceration at controlled temperature for 12 days.
- Refining: steel and cement until the following spring.
- Alcohol: 12.50% vol.
- Ideal temperature: 15°C-18°C.
