Janavi comes from the Sanskrit name for the river Ganga, an important spiritual inspiration for our country. The brand’s culture is about understanding our origins to illuminate our present, and in doing so, seeking the balance between history and modernity. 

Our collection are classic in their inspiration, and with each season, we aspire to the timeless elements of sophistication and beauty. Each handcrafted piece is created from the finest cashmere, upon which our craftsmen painstakingly embroider details. 

Janavi’s origin is in the creative impulses of our founder, Jyotika Jhalani. Jyotika realized that she, and others, sought modern Indian luxury – an experience that expressed her culture without forsaking quality. Her artistic flair translated into a broad canvas of inspirations, and a unique design sensibility was formed. Building upon and refining this concept, Janavi was born. 

Today, Janavi has helped elevate the perceptions of a ‘Made in India’ label to evoke quality, luxury and originality. Janavi today has a global presence and is carried over 140 retail locations including Saks Fifth Avenue, Matches, Browns, Bergdorf Goodman and have a flagship store at DLF Emporio, New Delhi.
