History 
 
Suntech Development Co., Ltd is one of the most experienced motor manufacturers in Hong Kong. We have manufactured and exported DC motors since establishment in 1985 and are an ISO 9000 registered firm.

In our 200,000 square-foot factory in Shenzhen China, we have 18 production lines and employ almost 400 staffs. This includes 20 engineers, 15 of who are involved in research and development. The experienced management team in our Hong Kong Head Office ensure easy communication and swift order handling. 
 
 Materials and Output
 
Only the best materials are used, such as Japanese-made metal cores for magnetic and carbon brushes. Investment in manufacturing equipment, automation machinery is around USD2 million. The annual output is over 40 million motors for various functions and the annual sales volume is reaching USD 10 million. 
 
Product Development
 
The experienced Research and Development Department help to provide the OEM capability and keep output at an optimum capacity, giving the production line better economies of scale and a distinct competitive advantage. Production runs are strictly controlled to meet customer’s delivery schedules.

Suntech continues to introduce specialized motors to fulfill new demand in the market.

•	In 1992, Suntech successfully developed a coreless motor, which is mainly used in pagers, mobile phones and high precision automatic system. Our ‘low noise series’ motors have reduced RFI and EMI significantly and are suitable for products subject to CE, CSA and GS approval. 

•	In 2001, we created a specialized mini gear motor, primarily for use in high precision cameras, security system. Right now, Mini gear motors can be widely use in industrial sector, household appliance, security system, automobile section, and medical section.

•	In 2008, brushless motor were introduced. 

•	Our motor products number more 50, with the smallest being a 6mm-diameter vibration motor and the largest being the gear motor used in household appliance. Our export markets are diverse and include Europe, Germany, Japan, South Korea, USA and Taiwan. All motors are comply with RoHS directive, REACH, HR4040, EU Directive 2005/84/EC.

•	Our range of DC motor products are mainly used in toys, model cars, 4WD, cameras, pagers, mobile phones, small household appliances, motor care products, automatic machinery, water pump, door lock, powered tools, personal care product, and other domestic products.
