Villa Lucia Farm was founded in 2006 by its Sole Director, Alberta Maria Pozzi, an under-30-years-old architect who had been able to create a wine company thanks to her passion inherited from her family. This farm covers 90 hectares of land and it is divided into several “d.o.c.g” (Controlled and Guaranteed Origin Denomination) and “d.o.c” (Controlled Origin Denomination) areas especially devoted to viticulture. The heart is San Gimignano, a wonderful UNESCO Heritage Site. Her father’s passion for agriculture, his stories about farmers’ wine and Toscana land speeches lighted the flame for hard and challenge within her. Villa Lucia is also the result of men and women constantly engrossed in monitoring vineyards and promoting their wines all over the world. Human resources are really important to understand the dynamics of a constantly growing market. Its mission is not only to produce wine quality but also to combine traditional features with a modern viticulture based on research and innovation, starting from vineyards establishments until wine production. From the beginning the company aimed at a differentiating process based on innovation and research, and at sustainable development. In fact, Villa Lucia Farm, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agricultural Policies and the Parthenope University of Naples, is bound to carry out some plans for protecting grapevines; all this happens through the use of intelligent machines monitored via internet. They can register in real-time the presence of parasitic attacks being able to damage the vineyards. Always from a phyto-sanitary defence perspective Villa Lucia is testing a new method for its vineyards: ozone, put in water, decays rapidly within few hours and changes into oxygen without leaving traces in plants or on ground or in environment. So, ozone can be considered a main element of low-impact integrated defence systems. These processes, together with organic farming, are compatible with environmental preservation and food respect. In fact, two years ago this company launched the process of conversion to organic farming in order to remove toxic phyto-sanitary products and alternative phyto-pathology substances. To this accurate attention on several developments a process of vinification in purity is added. This process finds its maximum satisfaction in fragrance and in the delicate motions of a passionate and romantic wine.
In 2007 Villa Lucia realized its first production and only in 2008 marketed its labels. Its basic thinking is: our wines are for few people and not for all. Neverthless its young age, Villa Lucia has a good listo f products:
- d.o.c.g Chianti;
- d.o.c.g Morellino di Scansano;
- d.o.c Rosso di Montalcino.;
- d.o.c.g Brunello di Montalcino;
- d.o.c.g.Vernaccia di San Gimignano 
Every wine expresses the beauty of wonderful places from the Sienese hills to a wide territory called Maremma, to indefinite borders that overlook the Tirreno Sea.
