Hunan Provincial Baishaxi Tea Industry Co.,ltd. Formerly called Hunan Baishaxi Tea Plant（state-owned），is reformed from the Hunan Brick Tea Plant，which was established in 1939 by Mr.Peng Xianze(Yu Mengqi) , who hold Bachelor’ degree from Kyushu University of Japan and is the former associate director of the Tea Management Office commissioned by the Construction Department of Hunan Province. The plant is the birthplace of Brick Tea, with a history of over 82years.
The plant is situated at the northeast of the XueFeng mountain range. Against the mountain and facing Zi river, it is a great place witnessing several breakthroughs in the history of Dark Tea , namely the first Dark Brick Tea, the first Fu Brick Tea , and the first Hua Brick Tea. It developed Cyan Brick Tea and pu’er Tea, and improved traditional teas like Shengjian Tea and Huajuan Tea (usually called as Qianliang Tea). It has provided precious information for the flourishing of Hunan Brick Tea industry, and cultivated a large number of talents. In 1956, it was listed in the national top 5 excellent tea plant. In the history of China’s Brick Tea development, the Baishaxi Tea Plant plays a significant role.
Hunan Baishaxi Tea Plant is a manufacturer of tea for border-sale designated by the State Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission. It is equipped with advanced facilities, perfect processes,strong technology backup,and enjoying Anhua’s resource advantages. The plant takes a land of over 80,000 square meters, with fixed assets over 130 million RMB and annual production over 16000 tons. Among its main product, there are Chinese tea branded series including Dark Brick Tea, Fu Brick Tea , Hua Brick Tea, cyan Brick Tea,and Tianjian Tea, gongjian Tea, shengjian Tea, huajuan Tea(Qianliang Tea), etc.Among them, Dark Brick Tea, Hua Brick Tea have won the prize of excllent in industry and the sliver prize of excllent in province for consecutive two years. They are recommended by the Chinese Tea Marketing Association as Chinese Dark Tea Symbolic Brand, and have won trust and favor from vast consumers. The product have been mainly sold to provinces including Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai , Jiangsu, Shenyang and Zhejiang, Taiwan, Hong Kong. Some of the products have been sold to places as far as Japan, Germany, Mongolia and Soviet Union. In 2012, Baishaxi got the first famous trademark of china in the field of Dark Tea.
