Summer marks the kickoff of the annual F&B highlight – Food Expo organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). This year, riding on the past success of Food Expo Trade Hall, the Food Expo PRO will take place from 17 to 19 August in Hong Kong, and focus on the B2B elements, with a view to providing a one-stop professional business platform to help F&B industry players explore opportunities and build connections.

The inaugural Food Expo PRO will be staged with the returning Hong Kong International Tea Fair at the same venue concurrently. 21 pavilions from Asian countries and Mainland China, among other international exhibitors, are ready to serve trade buyers and the public with global cuisines and specialty products.

Apart from tasting opportunities and networking at the exhibitors’ booths, do visit the new Food Science and Technology Zone which showcases innovative food processing technologies, such as peanut protein-based and alternative plant-based chicken products developed by food tech start-ups, and non-alcoholic beers developed by local academic institutions. The Fair will run under the EXHIBITION+ physical-online hybrid model, which includes HKTDC-organised physical fairs, the smart business-matching platform Click2Match, and online-to-offline seminars under the Intelligence Hub. This extends face-to-face interactions from physical exhibitions to an online, smart business-matching platform to help enterprises proactively connect with business partners.
